With 2020 officially in the books, we can now reflect back on the many unique challenges that it presented. With all of the negatives that people can certainly point to, I choose to instead point out a very uplifting positive that we experienced. The golf industry saw unprecedented growth as people rediscovered their love of outdoor entertainment as a healthy escape from the COVID-19 pandemic. With that being said, we have some exciting changes happening this offseason and into the early stages of 2021.
The Grande has purchased a new fleet of golf carts, featuring premium luxury seats, USB ports, fold down club covers, and for the first time in our course’s history…GPS! Not only will the addition of GPS enable us to increase the overall enjoyment of your round through improved pace of play tracking and instant/accurate yardage readings, but we will also be able to provide on-course food and beverage delivery at any point during your round. We will be implementing a new Point Of Sales system that will allow greater accessibility to golfers looking to schedule tee times thru a variety of different platforms, and allowing our staff to more efficiently and productively serve you.
From a course maintenance perspective, we have purchased a great deal of new equipment to provide our staff the necessary tools to be able to maintain the course at a championship level. On top of that, a bunker renovation is planned for this coming Spring. Also, we will be installing new on-course signage to spruce up the look and to help add to the natural beauty of the property. We will be constantly working to address any and all areas to continue building to provide the playing conditions golfers expect from The Grande.
